Love The Magic Vacations
If you’re planning a trip to Walt Disney World, one of the biggest decisions you’ll have to make is when to go. With so many events and activities happening throughout the year, it can be tough to know when the best time is to visit. Here’s a breakdown of the best times to visit Walt Disney World based on crowds, weather, and special events.
The first few months of the year are an ideal time to visit Walt Disney World if you want to avoid heavy crowds. In particular, January and February tend to be the least crowded months of the year, so if you’re looking for a quiet time to explore the parks, this is it. Additionally, the weather is mild and comfortable, with average temperatures ranging from the low 50s to the mid-70s. One of my favorite events at Epcot, Festival of the Arts takes place in late
If you love art, this event is for you!
Spring is a popular time to visit Walt Disney World, thanks to the milder weather, spring break holidays, and the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. While April tends to be less crowded than May and June, expect moderate crowds during all three months. In April the weather is typically in the 80’s and by May the temperatures can get into the 90’.
The summer months are popular among families because of the summer break holidays. Expect heavy crowds during July and August, but September tends to be less crowded, especially after Labor Day. Keep in mind that summer in Florida means hot and humid weather, with temperatures often reaching the 90s. If you are not used to the heat, this may not be the best time to go.
Fall is one of the best times to visit Walt Disney World, thanks to the lower crowds, pleasant weather, and special events like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. Expect moderate crowds during October and November, but the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas can be very busy. The weather in October can still be pretty hot but by November it starts to cool down, especially at night.
In conclusion, as you can see, the best time to visit Walt Disney World depends on your priorities. If you’re looking to avoid crowds, consider visiting during the off-season months of January to March or September to early November. If you’re interested in special events, aim for the spring for the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival, or the fall for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. Regardless of when you visit, you’re guaranteed to have a magical time at Walt Disney World. If you want my advice, take your kids out of school for a couple of days and go when the crowds are low. Let’s start planning!
