Why I Recommend Disney Land For First Timers

If you’re planning a trip to a Disney park for the first time, you may be wondering which one is the best option for you: Disneyland or Walt Disney World. While both parks are magical in their own ways, there are a few reasons why I recommend Disneyland for first-time visitors.

  1. Size: Disneyland Resort is much smaller than Walt Disney World, which means that it’s easier to navigate and get around. Disneyland has only two parks while Walt Disney World has four. At Disneyland, the two parks are right across from each other so you can easily walk from one park to the other. At Walt Disney World if you want to visit another park in the same day, you need to take a bus or a monorail which can be time consuming and challenging for first timers.
  1. Classic attractions: Disneyland Resort is the original Disney park, which means that it has many classic attractions that you won’t find at Walt Disney World. Some of these include the Matterhorn Bobsleds, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, and the original Pirates of the Caribbean ride.
  1. Walt’s presence: Walt Disney was heavily involved in the creation of Disneyland, and his presence can still be felt throughout the park. From the Disneyland Railroad that circles the park to the Main Street, U.S.A. that he designed to look like his hometown, there are many nods to Walt’s life and legacy at Disneyland. For Disney fans, this can be a very special experience.
  1. Quicker access to everything: At Disneyland, everything is closer together, so you can easily walk from one attraction to another. This means that you can fit more into your day without having to spend as much time traveling from one area to another. This is especially helpful if you have a limited amount of time to spend at the park.
  1. More intimate experience: Due to its smaller size, Disneyland can feel more intimate and less overwhelming than Walt Disney World. This can be especially helpful for first-time visitors who may feel a bit lost or unsure of where to go. At Disneyland, it’s easier to get your bearings and feel like you’re part of a cohesive experience. I also think Genie+ (Disney’s new “fast pass” system) is easier to navigate at Disneyland. It doesn’t seem as overwhelming as it does at Walt Disney World.

While Walt Disney World has its own charms, there are many reasons why Disneyland may be the better choice for first-time visitors. From its classic attractions to its smaller size, Disneyland offers a magical experience for visitors of all ages.
